2002 chardonnay

tasting notes

This is our first Chardonnay, made from 4-year-old vines. The wine is deep gold in colour and clearly demonstrates the rewards of bottle ageing. The bouquet shows pineapple and tropical fruit aromas with a touch of toasty oak. The palate has excellent persistence, with fresh citrus zest and elegant oak underscored by biscuit and butterscotch flavours that seem to grow in the glass with exposure to air.
