This is our first Chardonnay, made from 4-year-old vines. The wine is deep gold in colour and clearly demonstrates the rewards of bottle ageing. The bouquet shows pineapple and tropical fruit aromas with a touch of toasty oak. The palate has excellent persistence, with fresh citrus zest and elegant oak underscored by biscuit and butterscotch – flavours that seem to grow in the glass with exposure to air.
